Hello teammates,
Hope everyone's summer has been going well. If you don't know, I spent most of my summer in Europe, France for a few days, then with family in Italy, and then working in Sicily, Italy. I'll have to tell you stories from then another time. Once I got back, I managed and coached for a little at my summer pool. Swam a little bit, but my club team was tapering and ended pretty soon after I got back. My team merged last year with NOVA in VA, so now we're a huge team. I wasn't in good enough shape to swim at long course champs coming back from Italy, so I went and watched finals a couple nights. The team we merged with trains 4 IM like no other, so they have 15 and 16 year olds that are just insane to watch swim. After that, I swam and lifted at the Y which wasn't bad. One day when I was there, a guy that used to swim on my club team was there. He was 6 years older than me, so it was really cool to catch up with him. Hope you guys got a chance to watch all the swimming on TV lately, some pretty exciting things have been happening. Looks like the United States will have a pretty young team going into Rio.
I moved into my apartment on Monday, both the Davids and I are living upstairs together. We have a one bedroom place, because we really wanted to work on the team bonding aspect this year. We do have other rooms, but we have designated those to the yoga room, the gardening room, and the food room. After, the first night here I woke up to a flat tire, that was a nice welcome back present to Troy. Got to bond a little more with David Connor, while changing the tire. If you didn't know he is basically an expert at cranking a car jack up in about 2 seconds. He's pretty talented at jacking.
David Connor and I have been swimming this week and helping Rob out at Emma Willard. We have a new cook book, so you can basically say we're on that Gordon Ramsay level. If you want some 5 star meals feel free to stop by at anytime. Just be prepared to do dishes. Pretty excited to get back into it and start training hard again. Really would like to come out strong early again and pull a repeat on Ithaca and get the momentum going for the season. Can't wait to see all your beautiful faces and almost naked bodies everyday again.
LETS GO RED! #HOOHOO
Love,
Brian
